The Pride Council sit in judgement of you.

"This is the most stringent test, you must be stronger than ever before. You are within reach of the pride, you must claw yourself a little further."

"You have the potential to be strong however you are currently too weakened by combat and mishap, heal your wounds and you will be ready to join the pride."
  • If cursed:
"You are strong but you are burdened by curses, remove those impediments and you will be ready to join the pride".
  • If max health and current health is sufficient and not cursed:
"You make us proud with your strength. You have passed our test, great honour awaits in your future."

Strategy Notes[ | ]

The difficulty upgrade curses used in Endless (e.g. Deadly Traps, Deadly Ratmen) do count, and removing them costs a minimum of 200 gold each. This makes acquiring this token in Endless virtually impossible. The starting curses from the Court challenges from the Queen of Dust onward also counts, and most are equally expensive to remove. The easiest routes are therefore either replaying Jack of Dust or Jack of Skulls with an encounter deck set up to give you as many large combats as possible in hopes of reaching 120 max HP by the last level and drawing this encounter on that level, or playing Queen of Plague or Queen of Scales and accumulating money to be able to pay the increased cost of removing their starting curse. A middle ground is the Queen of Dust, whose challenge is slightly longer than the first two Court challenges and who has only one curse, and one which is cheaper to remove than most.

The best option is the King of Dust, due to his curse removal only costing 150 instead of the queens 300. Due to his high rank he also comes with a lot of levels. He adds several 6 unit cards and ambushes to the deck. Combined with Rat Hunting, this is a pretty safe call in about 3-4 runs.

For further help, you can unlock the Soul Gem first to get a chance to remove the curse before meeting the area with the pride council.

If your goal is merely to get the associated achievement for completing the Lion Prince's story, rather than to acquire the token, you may be best served by starting an entirely new game, aiming to acquire the tokens for The Crucible and The Lizard Dome quickly while keeping the deck size small so that you will hit those encounters and this one with higher reliability in one of the first three Court challenges.
