Suit of Skulls

The Suit of Skulls is the second enemy type encountered in the game, and one of the four court members. They are skeletons. They come in two varieties: swordsmen, and riflemen.

Upgrades[edit | edit source]

  • The Goblet: Skeletons deal more damage
  • The Pentacle: Skeletons now have more health. Skeletons will revive after a certain amount of time. The exact time is unknown and if conditions apply is also unknown.

Tactics[edit | edit source]

The Suit of Skulls is fairly easy to fight. The swordsmen can be easily countered with a shield, but they have a shield as well and can block the players attacks and counters. The riflemen cannot be blocked, however they attack infrequently and are easy to dodge if the player is moving. They only have a ranged attack so the best tactic if they are alone is to run in and unleash a flurry of blows.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

While the symbols of the four court suits are designed to resemble the four suits of playing cards (spades, clubs, hearts, and diamonds), something that ties to the game's Minor Arcana theme, the Skulls suit is something of an oddity. The heart-shaped skull symbol is only seen on the tokens related to the Jack, Queen, and King of this suit, while the pips on all of the cards are normally-shaped skulls.
